Web Seminar: IT Best Practices: To Support or Not Support Consumer Owned Smartphones
Companies have
historically standardized on a single smartphone platform. Of
late, IT is facing pressure to support the increasing influx of
consumer owned smartphones. A recent Osterman Research study
found that only 26% of organizations distribute
employer-supplied smartphones, but personal use of smartphones
is on the rise. RIM is the platform of choice, with over 82% of
respondents currently supporting Blackberry smartphones.
However, desire for iPhone support is increasing, with over 40%
of respondents expecting enterprise support for the iPhone in
2009.
