ZENPRISE 3.3 IDENTIFIES AND HELPS RESOLVE OVER 6,000 ISSUES ACROSS BLACKBERRY ENVIRONMENTS
Monitoring Software Provider Rolls Out New Technology, Offering Increased Detection of User-Related Issues, Resolving 75 Percent of Issues at the Help Desk
Fremont, CA - March 3, 2008 – Zenprise, Inc. today announced Zenprise version 3.3 software that automatically troubleshoots end user issues in BlackBerry® Enterprise Server environments. Zenprise 3.3 expands its existing monitoring solution to provide IT administrators with more detailed detection of user-specific issues with BlackBerry® smartphones, such as users with low battery life, weak signal strength, or low available memory. With this software upgrade, enterprises can also more proactively identify events outside their infrastructure that may impact users, such as service interruptions or users who are traveling in and out of network coverage. The software enables customers to quickly isolate and resolve greater than 75 percent of user-related handset issues at the help desk.
Zenprise is the only monitoring solution that collects and analyzes data across the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, Microsoft® Exchange, and Active Directory infrastructure. Zenprise both monitors and troubleshoots the BlackBerry Enterprise Server environment, significantly reducing the volume of alerts administrators receive when a problem occurs. The monitoring software provides a holistic view of the entire wireless service environment. In addition to monitoring BlackBerry Enterprise Server, Zenprise also checks wireless network availability, Active Directory health, BlackBerry SRP availability, WAN/LAN network performance, and overall Exchange server health.
"No single IT administrator can monitor every potential issue that can affect a BlackBerry enterprise deployment," said Jayaram Bhat, CEO of Zenprise. "Zenprise gives enterprise customers at all IT staff levels, from the help desk to the mobile administrator, the ability to proactively identify and resolve user issues."
